Seven Mountains Scout Camp – Hammer Crew

Dear Scouts, Scouters, Friends of Scouting and our Community
Are you looking for a meaningful way to give back, work with your hands, and enjoy great fellowship in the outdoors?
The Seven Mountains Hammer Crew is looking for volunteers! Whether you are a skilled tradesperson or simply a
willing helper ready to learn, your time and talents will directly impact the upkeep of our camp for future generations of
campers.
Here is everything you need to know about joining the crew:
What is the Hammer Crew?
The Hammer Crew supports the Seven Mountains Scout Camp Ranger Crew with facility maintenance, design, and
development projects. Our tasks range from staining cabins and repairing electrical work to troubleshooting everyday
issues and assisting with new construction.
When and Where We Meet
•Days: Weekly, typically on a fixed day of the week. The exact day of the week will be announced shortly based
on the survey results of volunteers.
•Arrival: 8:30 AM for coffee and planning (Dining Hall or Kriner Lodge)
•Work Hours: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM (includes a 30-minute lunch break)
•Flexibility: There is no weekly commitment! Come out when it fits your schedule, travel plans, or life cycle. Even
volunteering for part of the day is a huge help. If we finish a specific project early, your day is done.
Tools and Gear
•Camp Provided: The camp provides all necessary tools and project supplies. You are welcome to bring your own
personal tools if you prefer.
•Safety Equipment: We recommend bringing your own work gloves, eye/hearing protection, and sunscreen.
Please have a long-sleeve shirt available to protect your arms from debris when using power saws.
