Summer Camp Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
Seven Mountains Scout Camp / Summer Programs
Frequently Asked Questions
Q – Will the Webelos/AOL be separated from the younger Cub Scouts during Cub Camp Week? (1/21/26)
A – The Cub week program is designed to have age-appropriate activities and skill levels. The program areas may be the same in some cases, but the activities will be different. So, Webelos/AOL will be together for stations whether the Scout is signed up for Day Camp or Resident Camp. Day campers will do the day camp check-in and all campers will attend opening and closing ceremonies before joining their activity den.
Q – Can my Webelos/AOL participate in day camp or family camp programs only? (1/21/26)
A – Yes. However, the activity stations will be done with the resident camp Webelos/AOL Scouts.
Q – Will Cub Scouts be earning adventures? (1/21/26)
A – Scouts will be experiencing activities for some elective adventures. These will be documented for leaders. Approval of requirements is up to the procedures of each unit.
Q – What will my Scout be doing between the end of the Day Camp program and when I get there for Family Camp? (1/21/26)
A – After everyone is dismissed from the Day Camp program at 4:00 pm, Scouts and adults staying for the Family Camp program will be escorted to open program areas that day to participate until the check-in gathering at 5:00 at the Pool Pavilion.
Q – What time do Day Campers need to be picked up? (1/21/26)
A – 4:00 pm at the campfire circle.
Q – What BSA training is needed for adults accompanying campers for the Cub Camp program? (1/21/26)
A – Cub Day Camp – All accompanying adults are encouraged to have current Safeguarding Youth Training (SYT), but each den MUST have two registered leaders.
Family Camp – Current SYT by at least one parent/guardian
Webelos/AOL Resident Camp – Scouting America registered leaders
Q – Can my Cub Scout come to camp without their pack? (1/21/26)
A – Scouts not registering for camp with their pack will be placed with other packs or provisional den leaders. However, it is much more fun to experience camp with friends. Get them to come too!
Q – What campsites will be used for overnight camping? (1/21/26)
A – Webelos / AOL Resident Camp – Moyer and Elks
Family Camp – Marboe
Q – Do I have to bring my own tent and cots? (1/21/26)
A – There will be canvas wall tents on wood platforms available. Cots will also be available. But you can bring your own tent instead if that is more comfortable.
Q – What items will a registered camper receive? (1/21/26)
A – Lanyard & Name tag, Themed T-shirt, drawstring bag, lunch bag
Q – Do the aquatic activities require passing a swim test? (1/21/26)
A – Webelos / AOL who pass the BSA swim test will be able to do pool activities in the deeper 2/3 of the pool. Those who have not passed the test will be in the non-swimmers area at the shallow end of the pool. Passed swimmers will also be able to participate on their own in boating activities.
Q – When can the Scout take a Scouting America swim test. (1/21/26)
A- The swim test for all Cub Week participants will be available on the Saturday, June 27,1:00 – 5:00 pm. Alternatively, testing may be available in the evening, Sunday through Tuesday.
